‘The Difference’ Author Scott Page Gives Talk on Diversity and Productivity at Berkeley Lab

Scott Page, the author of the book “The Difference: How the Power of Diversity Creates Better Groups, Firms, Schools, and Societies,” will present a talk at Berkeley Lab on Wednesday, June 8. Page, who is a professor at the University of Michigan, uses mathematical modeling and case studies to show how variety in staffing produces organizational strength. Page will present formal models of collective prediction and problem solving that demonstrate the logic of how diversity improves performance and provide clues for how best to leverage diversity for organizational effectiveness. Go here to read a New York Times article on Page, and here to view a YouTube video. His visit to Berkeley Lab is sponsored by the Lab's own Diversity Council. Best Blogger Tips
