Berkeley Lab Women to Mentor High School Girls in Developing New Apps

Berkeley Lab will host the East Bay session of the Technovation Challenge where teams of high school girls develop Android apps and then present their apps to venture capitalists in an exciting "pitch night" event. Organizers have invited interested women who work at the Lab to serve as mentor, and will feature a total of 10 teams of five girls each from Albany and Berkeley high schools.  There will be instructors at each of the Tuesday sessions, while mentors will serve as role models, encourage the students, and help foster teamwork.
