Saul Perlmutter’s Nobel Prize Journey to Stockholm

Saul Perlmuttter’s recent trip to Sweden began in Washington with a reception for U.S. Nobel Prize-winners at the Swedish Embassy, followed by functions at the White House and DOE headquarters. Reaching Stockholm by way of Paris, and joined by his wife and daughter for the round of events that culminated Dec. 10, he received his medal from Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf. During a Dec. 8 lecture at Stockholm University, Perlmutter offered tributes to Supernova Cosmology Project (SCP) members, including a special mention of Gerson Goldhaber, who died early this year and whose family, along with many other early SCP members, were in the audience as his guests.> Best Blogger Tips
