Workshop on Leveraging Personality Differences for Improved Teamwork

Are you frustrated by a monopolizer on your team? Want to draw out a quiet person? Wonder why some people focus on details and logic, while others rely more on intuition? While differences can be frustrating, teams with diverse styles considerably outperform homogenous teams — but only when members collaborate effectively. To learn how to better interact with diverse styles, attend Understanding Differences for Better Team Performance: Personality Differences (BLI3003), a Berkeley Lab Learning Institute workshop, on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon in Perseverance Hall. You’ll take a survey to assess your own personality style, learn techniques for interacting with different styles, and collaborate on case studies to apply what you’ve learned. Registration required.
